Default Tank Build For Urgoz?

Note: I searched and found nothing.

Well, PvE got boring for me, so I decided to do an elite mission. Since nobody ferries to the deep, I'm gonna try out Urgoz. But first, anyone know a good build for it? I heard you need some KD, stances, etc. Also, whats the main strategy for tanking? I've heard stuff like you gotta run forward to make enemies pop up, have to use protectors defence for trappers, etc. Thanks for any info

In general a regular stance tank build from SF will work. Main things that hurt are those damned wolves that deal insane impale damage with their dual attacks, but hey what can't hit you can't hurt you.

Gladiators Defence/Shove?
Bonetti's Defence
Dolyak Signet
Watch Yourself
Endure Pain
Healing Signet
Protectors Defence
Defensive Stance

Think that would work?

I have never done urgoz, but my guess would be healing signet wouldn't be needed. Since you will be taking most of the damage, the drop in armor would probably be a bad thing.

You will go up against foe's that kill 480hp rangers in 2 hit's 1 on 1, you will be tanking them in groups from 4 and up, your only chances is to bring a BLIND skill, when they are blinded even a ranger can tank them, you will also need a running skill like sprint, heal sig you can leave out, you will need rebirth, None shall pass would be usefull, shove will just disable your skills.
Your main purpose will be to block the enemy at the trapps.

The time it takes to throw heal sig is enough for them to kill you, leave the healing to the monks. When 3 or 4 of them hit you at the same time you might as well not have any armour if the monks and Rit's are not doing there job.

you dont really need a tank for urgoz, but if you must you can try this!

1.riposte
2.deadly riposte
3.protectors strike
4.glads
5.endure pain
6.doylak or shield stance
7.bonettis or watch ur self
8.rez

Ive used it, works pretty good recommended with a guild group with some form of comms.

Peace

Drop the Gladiators Defence and bring None shall pass. Your job is to run out infront, aggro and pull them to the trapps. You run back to the trapps and when they reach you, you shout None shall pass and they get KD on top of the trapps.
If the trappers have done there job and the nukers do thers, there is no need for you to deal dmg, if you can make them stop on top of the trapps the EOE and MS + the dmg from the trapps will kill them in 2 sec.

1 trapper with dust trapp is able to body block them in a normal trap group, if they get by you and reach the casters, witch is what they are going for, then you have a problem.

Um, I thought tanks would be bad for Urgoz because of the Vampires there?

Tanks are not bad because of the Vampires, Tanks are bad because they take up a spot where you could have a Nuker or a trapper who can cause aoe dmg.
